     Good morning! How are we faithing this cold day? God knows our thoughts so it stands to reason we ought to present them to God if they are amiss. What? That's right. As soon as a bad thought comes and we fondle it or entertain it, it becomes sin. If we are quick to recognise it and rebuke it in Jesus name we are sinless on that account. The thought isn't the sin rather what we do with it is sin. Now with that premise set, check this out;

Heb 4:12
  For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

See that? We need to put the Word of God in our thoughts and minds so we can recognise the enemies ploys. If all we take in is the stuff of the world we will think and act as the world. Now this leads to another thought we must process and that is not to destroy others by mock righteousness. What does that mean? Using the Word to cut down rather than build up. When the bible speaks of the Word "cutting to the heart" or "cutting asunder" it is not speaking of us brow beating the general public. The Word of God will convict people and make them aware of their condition. We do not need to wag it at people but live it and present it in a dignified nature expressing truth as truth and not as us acting holier than thou. The Word does the work.

Surgeons make cuts so patients can heal. The Word does likewise. It cuts off the bad so the good can grow.

Heavenly Father,

  Thank you for your Word that is nourishment for our bones and marrow. Help us remember your Word when we are headed for sin. Help us put things where they ought to be instead of where harm can come. Lord forgive us when we fail because we want to live according to your words but we are weak. Thank you for all you provide, in Jesus name, amen
