daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing?  The bible stories are paradigms of life. The first time we read the accounts of the patriarchs we are entertained because everyone loves a good story but when we revisit we see those paradigms.  The battle within and without all of us is in the mind. The flesh so much gets in the way of reason. Our own desires cloud wisdom and at least for me I get to say ,"oh, now I see it" after I've gone through things. Things that, had I been seeking God first, I could have saved myself a whole lot of grief.  I do admit that sometimes I didn't even have a clue I was walking into junk but that's where the saving grace of God and the Holy Spirits promptings protect me and open my eyes so I don't do the same thing again. And then there are those times I'm to dumb or distracted with fleshly things that it takes two or three repeat performances before I get it. This doesn't mean we can't enjoy things in this life it just means we need to be focused and alert to snares of the enemy so we don't just lather-rinse-repeat.

Rom 8:6-11
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.  So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for wisdom and grace. Lord, soften our hearts to the real issues and don't let our eyes be blinded by what they see. Thank you for your love for a lot like us. Quicken our minds to grasp concepts, see truth in your Word. Bless those mentioned and bless our leaders. Teach us your ways in all things, in Jesus name, amen
