Good morning! How are we faithing? Rainy mornings makes one sleepy. Yawn!
Throughout our days we encounter people who are below us, above us and some right where we are. I know, you're thinking I've lost it and putting us in judgmental levels. Nothing could be further from the truth. Some people are smarter than you. Some are dumber. Some are level with you. This is not to build a pecking order per say but a realization of truth. Likewise some are at different places spiritually. Some are wallowing while some seem to walk on clouds while most of us are looking ahead and improving, at least I hope that's where we're at. In my job I meet so many people. This week I inspected penitentiaries and met some interesting people. The clang of the doors and bars was unnerving but the people all have stories and when I talked to some, looked them in the eye, I could see fear, downtrodden, depressed and some that were ok with the current situation. Oh they didn't like it but they had come to terms with it and I'm no expert but I doubt some will be returning to there current vacation spot. Where are you? Are you in a place where you don't want to be? How do you deal? Do you cry and pout or do you still praise God? Most places we are at are of our own doing, if we would be honest with ourselves, so an attitude of recognizing that fact and a move forward, learning from those choices, is the wisest course. Those places we are at that we had no control over is even more prudent to praise God. Joseph did. Daniel did. Moses did. Paul and Steven did. The one that always gets me is Job. Those who cry about things ought to read Job because that book is a reality check on what despair and praising does. Pray for those you meet that are struggling. Pray for yourself too. Remember the good times and know you will be there again so learn what you need to learn where you are and look forward to that time of calm waters that will come.

1Pe 2:9-10
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Heavenly Father,
Forgive us our sins. Help us start refreshed and anew every day so we may seek your face and praise you in the storm. Bless those hurting and give peace of mind. We ask for a vision of your grace. In Jesus name, amen
