daily prayer

       Good morning! How are we faithing? Time is short. We have no guarantee of the next second. I followed a funeral procession and ended up late to an appointment yesterday and irritated as I was at being tardy I also remembered that those people in front of me were in mourning for a loved one and I totally can relate. Those irritants are gonna happen in life but how do we handle them? Do we look for opportunity or consider that whatever is happening could be divine intervention to miss catastrophe? Do we remain mad at inconvenience and not consider others well being? Do we get selfish and expect others to bow to our needs? I understand and am guilty. I am so OCD and task oriented that I get in a frenzy at times but I do know if I seek God's face in everything that the outcome will serve someone and God will bless me too. Rather than roll your eyes and complain about things that get flung in your path today, take the time to smile and look for some good you can do not to earn anything for yourself but to help someone else get over the same thing you are. Think about that and remember;

2Pe 3:10-18
  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?  Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for the blessings you give. Help us recognize them. Open our eyes to the bigger picture and let us see when we are impatient. Lord we pray you make opportunities so obvious to us and grant the grace and courage for us to respond holy. Keep us grounded and aware of the needs of others and aware when we encounter someone who is lost. In Jesus name, amen
