Good morning! How are we faithing? Being misled or misguided is dangerous. The reason we must be in the Word ourselves, double check the sermons we hear and contemplate sermons is so we are not led astray. I know of people who profess Jesus as messiah but have given in or actually support things in this world that are against the Word. Media bombardment is responsible for most. Preachers tickling ears rather than standing on the Word. Some skirt issues rather than chance being unpopular or ticking off the wrong people thus they may get tossed out of a church. Shame on them! What kind of shepherd fails to protect his flock from the wolves? What kind of shepherd allows a wolf to take a sheep without trying to save them? One who is lazy, afraid or even doesn't care. One who may even white wash the mess so nobody finds out. I don't care if what the Word says becomes unpopular or politically incorrect it still is the Word of God and I fear God more than I fear man therefore the Word must be preached without compromise. With love we must share our savior. We must encourage people to come to the Lord as they are, right now with no preconditions. It is not our jobs to judge or hold past sin over any ones head but to present Christ and at the same time not water down the Word but be upright, honest and loving. Remember, hate the sin and not the sinner because we are sinners too, we have been redeemed is all.
Heb 2:3-5
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
Heb 4:15-16
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Heavenly Father,
Forgive our sins Lord. Help us see truth and not fall for the enemies lies. Grant us courage to speak truth. Grant us wisdom to speak or not to speak. Let our lives reflect yours. In Jesus name, amen
