Good morning! How are we faithing? Temptation, sin, chastening. That's the pattern. Something makes us go,"hmmm", then we do it and the result is we will are chastened. We've talked about temptation and how the temptation is not sin but what we do with it. We know what sin is. We know most times when we sin. There are ramifications of sin. Some hit us and some effect others but you and I will be chastened for sin, count on it. The law of the land has prisons and jails to deal with sin. God chastens us just like a parent does a child. The new age thinking for discipline doesn't work for if it did, crime would be going down. If it did, there would be less violence on the streets and rudeness would evaporate. So you goofed up and now are being disciplined. Do you remain defiant? Do you rationalize that behavior? No, repent. If you did something and now you are paying for it, suck it up man. Stand humbly before God and learn. If we do not admit, repent and take the discipline we will repeat the behavior thus a cycle gets set up and we suffer endlessly. I see this simple cycle in many arenas and I'm not immune either. We all need to maintain vigilance to not fall for temptation. Recognize our own weakness. Pray any and every time our weakness rears it's ugly head. People, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and we have a God that loves us and our God, like a correct loving Father does, will discipline us for OUR good.
Heb 12:6-8
For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, And scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. It is for chastening that ye endure; God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father chasteneth not? But if ye are without chastening, whereof all have been made partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

1Pe 5:10
And the God of all grace, who called you unto his eternal glory in Christ, after that ye have suffered a little while, shall himself perfect, establish, strengthen you.
Psa 138:7
Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; Thou wilt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of mine enemies, And thy right hand will save me.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for being a good God all the time and for disciplining us when we need it. Lord we lift those on all our hearts today. Bless those who are seeking your way. Reveal truth. Open our eyes to sin and the dangers thereof. We lift our leaders up to you. We ask they see your face and repent. We ask you grant courage for them to stand on your Word. We ask they have Godly vision to see what you would have them to do. in Jesus name, amen
