Good morning! How are we faithing? Respect. We demand it. We expect it. Are we deserving of it? We've all met those who are indignant when they don't receive it right after they showed their hind end to us. Respect comes in all shapes and sizes. The office of the President of the United States demands respect and we typically give it but sometimes the person holding that position doesn't get it. Sometimes they don't deserve any more respect than what the position holds. Our bosses demand respect but sometimes it is a master -slave kind of respect and that isn't respect at all. As believers in Christ we ought to extend respect to all we meet on the basis that they are made in God's image....just like you or I. Oh I know there are exceptions but should we respond with no respect just because of that before mentioned hind end show? Sure our respect level can dissipate but the question is, "out of honor for God we should we display respect regardless of behavior?" I think so. True we need to have courage to call out a disrespectful person but not in a disrespectful manner. We must hold ourselves up to the Godly standard. Jesus did not disrespect anyone. He sometimes called people on behavior but in a manner befitting someone who deserved respect. To many times we succumb to a disrespectful attitude when we feel threatened or dissed. Hmmm...wouldn't it be more prudent to pray quickly for them and ourselves rather than drop ourselves down to their level? Just think today as you meet what comes...
1Ti 2:1-6
First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.

Heavenly Father,
We praise you Lord and ask for wisdom and courage to be and act respectful to all so your name may be seen as holy. We lift those who struggle with this that they find your peace and change their minds over to yours. We ask for healings this day for those families that are grieving. We ask that endeavors be holy and your light removes the darkness from our lives. In Jesus name, amen
