daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Are you content? Are you happy? Why not? What do you think you are missing? Do you think this or that will make you happy? You think God oughta do whatever so you are happy and content? You are missing the point of this salvation. Your eyes are on things other than God. Sure we want to improve our situation on this earth and that is fine as long as perspective is maintained. The perspective that this dimension is limited and finite. Gods dimension that we were born again into is infinite and has no limits. You are concentrating on comfort or riches or desires here at the detriment of missing what God has for you? You think your vision of this life will be better than God's? How silly can you be? This life is but a vapor compared to forever. This life isn't yours anyways but God's. We have exchanged the immoral for the moral and guess what sport fans, the worldly pleasures we seek are immoral without God directing them. If we put this world in the wrong order of importance we will make choices that will never provide contentment. I am content in what God has provided. Do I want to success, step up as it were? Well sure I do but those desires and those things I want have to be filtered through the Word so I don't get wrapped up in moving my eyes from God to my desire and that is easy to do if I am not diligent in maintaining my focus on God. Have you left that place where God was walking with you? Have you thought of a way to rationalize getting your desires rather than looking at God and his timing? Be carefull people because a lot of false doctrines are flying about that teach anything goes and your happiness is paramount.

Php 4:11-13
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.  I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

1Ti 6:6-10
But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

Heavenly Father,
Keep your Word on our minds and in our hearts as a filter for everything. Help us realize when we are straying from our own desires. Help us to put in order all things. Bless us as we bless others. Help us be quick to pray, quiet with a holy tongue and eyes on you, in Jesus name, amen
