daily prayer

   Good morning! How are we faithing?  We do things out of fleshly desire. I want ice cream so I get some. I want a new widget because they are cool. Why do you do right to others? Why would we resist slapping the taste out of someones mouth? Faith. A little faith sprinkled with the Word which increases faith is why we don't resort  to the way lions, tigers and bears behave. Have you ever considered why your conscience taps you on the shoulder? Faith. Our faith in the one true God, if we are sincere and not just playing religion, will tell you of things right and wrong. As humans in a fallen world we had better check where our faith is based. Now lack of the true Word of God being ingested daily will invoke things like what we are seeing all around us. The middle east, Africa, even here we watch news and are bewildered why people treat people so badly. Lack of faith? Faith in the wrong things? Man we need to look at what we have faith in because misguided or flat wrong faith will kill us. Faith is our belief in principles that we see as fact. What are your facts you have faith in? Back to what we started this daily with, if our desire is opposed to the Word, our faith is flawed and worth nothing. Think about what and where your faith lies today. Is it in man and the things man desires or God and the things God desires...


Hos 4:1-2
  Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of Israel: for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Jer 4:22  

For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 

Heb 11:1-3

  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. 

Heb 11:6  

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. 

Heavenly Father,

  Increase our faith. Open our eyes to truth and where our faith lies. Let us understand the faith your Word speaks of. Lord we want to be faith giants able to stand on your Word in the face of anything. Grant us the wisdom and courage to do so. In Jesus name, amen
