daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Can I be honest? People fascinate me and at the same time I would rather be alone with my bride shut off from the world. People interfere, meddle, push, pull, judge, speak ill, rip and tear on each other and at the same time follow up with words that they think vindicate their actions. "Bless their heart", "I'm just trying to help", "It's the truth" and other such colloquial expressions. What is wrong with us? Why do we not simply listen and consider others over our selves? Why do we feel the need to push our ways on others? Why would we be totally convinced that if everyone saw our way the world would be perfect? The point today is to get us all to pause and think. Maybe our way is best. Maybe our way would solve many problems but maybe our way is ok for us but not for them. Just maybe our way is irrelevant and doing it God's way would make more sense. Ah then the big caveat shows up. What is God's way and are we hearing God or hearing our own leanings based on culture, upbringing, experiences etc? As this week end comes and goes I encourage you to pause with your own wisdom and seek out Gods. Every thing you approach this weekend, ask this; Is this my or mine or is this God and God's? Do I move, speak, think in line with me or God? Also, seek what God's Word says about what and how you feel or react this weekend to the stimuli you encounter. See if you are set in a way based not on God but by anything else. It's an interesting exercise and not meant to brow beat or cause you to think less of yourself but rather it's for maturing in your faith.

Eze 33:31
And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for family. Thank you for your wisdom. Thank you for your Word that nourishes us. Lord we lift those grieving this weekend and those who simply hurt. Open our eyes to things that we need to see and help us respond accordingly. Forgive us our sins as we forgive others. Help us forgive others like we want to be forgiven. In Jesus name, amen
