daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Sorry I've missed the last few days, work and such.
    How goes it? Had some interesting conversations lately and gleaned some good quotes. I also learned a lot and have been pondering all those things. We've spoke many times before about life struggles and I suppose that just in the conversations at work and elsewhere that many tend to forget things we already learned. Here's some;

Rom 13:12  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Rom 13:13  Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
Rom 13:14  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

I would have thought that just mere age would cause men to cast off childish or immature thoughts and comments. Nope. The same junk I heard at 20 I hear from guys my age. The same things I saw are still happening. The silliness of youth I can understand because they are trying and learning like my age group did but my age group still doing those things? Foolishness. Then I see some doing things that are based purely on selfish motives and they cant possible be considering others or...they just don't care. That is sad. We are suppose to be followers of Jesus yet we still act like the world. I'm not talking about mistakes but purposeful "know better" behavior. Are we losing our outlook based on Jesus or do we just not care? Are these behaviors we can't help till it's to late or do we not care and chase momentary selfish things? We had better be quick to repent and quick to pray because if much of this continues, well, there will be a reckoning and we will answer for those things. I encourage you to get back to basics in Christ and examine yourself for your own welfare. Ask the Lord to make you aware of your own growth. Ask him to let you see through his eyes, hear with his ears and use you for his pleasure. We'll sleep better for sure...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your grace that saves wrecks like us. Thank you for revealing yourself in your Word. We desire to live for your glory and don't want to mess up but do ask for forgiveness when we do. We lift those mentioned that you touch them, you know the needs, hold them close to you, heal wounds, clear minds of the enemies influence. Fix maladies that affect behavior. Help us overcome pasts that hinder our growth in you. In Jesus name, amen
