daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing this cool day? I still dream about my days riding on the tailboard of a fire engine. Never about the days as an engineer on them. Odd. I dream about one in particular shop I worked at and none of the others. Odd. I still see my children as kids in my dreams, right along side my grand kids. Odd. Our minds are filled with times and places that show back up in our slumber and one thing I have noticed, I think I still have some anger for some people but what concerns me is the question of forgiveness. Why would I still be angry at someone in a dream? Am I simply reliving an event or am I not forgiving them? The Word tells us to forgive as we want God to forgive us. Hmmm, so I must forget as far as the east is from the west? Yup. So am I suppose to forget? I really don't think that is possible immediately but we must not hold a grudge. Intellectually it will take time to forget but a true forgiveness will cause us to view people from a viewpoint of no infractions, nothing due us. If we do forgive as we want to be forgiven we have to be quick and liberal with our forgiving and fully forgive not wanting to extract any payment for said infraction and let me tell you, it ain't always easy but it is always prudent and obedient. As they were killing Jesus he was asking for them to be forgiven. Wow. I get indignant sometimes when I get wronged. How about you? Harboring any unforgiveness? It hurts you, not the unforgiven. People can be mean and I don't know about you but I don't want to be forgiven that way...

Mat 6:12
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Eph 4:32
And be ye kind one to another: merciful, forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ.

Luk 17:3-4
Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

Mat 5:44-45
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Heavenly Father,
Forgive our sins Lord and help us to do likewise. Teach us to accept others repentance and not hold grudges. Show us your mercy and how we should show it too. Bind the evil around us so we can live for you  Lord. Grant us wisdom in all things , in Jesus name, amen
