Good morning! How are you faithing? So you're worried about tomorrow, fretting over yesterday, lamenting about today and wonder why you are worn out. We all need to slow down, appreciate what is right in front of us and rejoice each moment that we have a God who loves us. What has fretting and worry ever done for us other than a headache and worry lines? Now don't get planning or preparing mixed up with fret and worry. Planning and preparing is new tires before they blow, pipe insulation before it gets cold and a retirement account for the day you might not be able to work. The tires don't get installed nor do the pipes get insulated by fretting over it. It requires action on our part. Worrying over things we can't control is useless. Fretting over what has already taken place is simply silly on our part. We can't change it and the only question is, can it be fixed or can we make amends, If the answer is no, stop worrying about it because a no means there's nothing we can do about it. Why sit in your house and make what life you have miserable over something or someone you have zip control over? Yes when a big snow blows in we do get apprehensive but are you gonna allow sleep deprivation? Body ills? A heart attack? Over something you can't control? Get over yourself and trust God has all this and look for him and his wisdom.
Mat 6:25-34
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your peace that we can live day by day and not worry about things that are not ours to worry about. Take our pride away so we don't think to much of our selves but lean on you and your ways. Grace us with thought that honors and not thought that hinders. Keep us ever diligent in your ways. In Jesus name we pray
