daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Everyone tends to blame someone or something else when stuff happens to them. I am famous in this house for tripping over the doggy gate and blaming the dog. Please, I didn't pick my foot up high enough. I should have opened the gate instead but no, blame the dog while those around me laugh at the comedy unfolding. This happens on the road too. Someone runs a red light but looks at me for being in the intersection. Really? Oops, sorry, I forgot it was your road. So if we blame others for our faux pas, then others are blaming us for theirs. Hmm, doesn't seem logical or smart at all. These things can lead us to actions like road rage, getting back at them as it were. Where do we get off thinking that way? We profess to be Spirit filled children of God and have salvation through Jesus and exact our own revenge? Silly silly people. Not only is that selfish but it is contrary to the Word. You be concerned with your actions. You are responsible for your actions and not another's. What are we taught?

Rom 12:16-21
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

So think this week as tensions are high during snowmageddon. Take the time to consider other options rather than lash out. Why compound an already tense situation and perhaps miss an opportunity for Christ?

remember C.W...remember the workers outside...

Heavenly Father,
Forgive our selfishness. Help us to be ambassadors for you. Help us to see a larger view than what is in our line of site. Heal those suffering with physical and mental maladies. Show up and show off Lord. Reveal yourself to the lost in a way they cannot deny you. In Jesus name, amen
