Good morning! How are we faithing? Snowmageddon! Wow are we here having fun! I do pray all those out in it are safe.
There's much happening in my head lately. Lots of study, sermons watched, different takes on events read and I find nothing new under this sun but it's new to me. I am amazed at the irrational thought process some people take and I've been known to do it in the past and I'm sure I'll goof up and do it again at some point. We live in such a topsy turvy world lately and if we don't maintain our footing in Gods Word we will succumb to some pretty awful stuff. God is not a genie or a mock santa claus but he is always the same yesterday, today and forever. We are the ones who are scitzoidal. We are the ones who cry when things don't go the way we want and we are the ones who think God doesn't exist because he does stuff without consulting us. C'mon folks, stay level headed here. You may not have a thing to do with what is happening to you and at the same time it may be your fault but should you and me shake a fist at God over things that we aren't fond of? We need to pull up our big girl and boy pants and face truth head on, like it or not. David didn't with his affair with Bathsheba and look at all the junk they endured as a result. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord and if hard times or good times come, that will remain.
Php 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
2Pe 1:5-8
And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Father,
We ask for courage to face each day even when we are not fond of what we face. Keep us in your grip tight so we can face each day strong in your strength. Teach us humility and steadfastness. Help our faith never to waver in spite of circumstances. Protect our kids and protect those working outside . In Jesus name,amen
