Good morning! How are we faithing? It strikes me as odd that people who don't believe Jesus is the son of God forbid us to pray in public in his name, speak of him or even bring his name up. What are they afraid of? Why would praying Jesus' name mean anything if one thinks it's all a lie? Why would they be offended? Why would a cross or an ichthus emblem bother them? Why would the 10 commandments posted bother anyone? Not any other religious statures or emblems seem to bother them therefore it leads me to think they are threatened by Christianity. Why would that be if it's all hogwash? Because it is not hogwash. God is alive. God sent his son to seek and save the lost. He came to be redemption for us and some don't want to be reminded of their status without Jesus. It's easier to dismiss and cry foul rather than admit they want to live for self because they think "self" is God. Let us be real honest, people like sin Sin is fun...for awhile. The wages of sin is death and we all are sinners. Without Jesus there is no way we can pay for our sins. This realization is not as strong as the desire to continue the way one wants to live so in order to continue, they deny Christ. What a horrible place to be! Hearts so hard they would rather pick hell over heaven, bad over evil, twist truth to fit their paradigm. So sad. Some play the lottery and would accept that free money but wont accept a free pardon from God? Even the thought process is twisted without Jesus.
Heb 3:12-13
Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for a clear mind. Thank you for courage under fire. Thank you for all the beauty around us. Lord we ask for courage and wisdom to see things as they are and not fall for the enemy's ploys. Let us not cultivate a hard heart even in the face of outrageous things done. Let us be bold in our faith. in Jesus name, amen
