Good morning! How are we faithing? I find it interesting that God's created creatures have free choice. God made freedom and without God there is no freedom. "What?" You say? Well lets look at the first known created beings, angels. Lucifer was able to make the choice to rebel against God's dominion and a pile of other angels followed. They all made that choice. Now the results of that choice is a subject for another time and many books have been devoted to that so let's move on. Then God made man to have free choice too. The first man made the choice to disobey God. We do the same thing. We pick and choose what we are going to do and sometimes we don't consider prior people making the same choice. As reasonably intelligent people we still fall for the same ploys of the enemy, make the same choices, all the while thinking we will be the ones that have success making that choice. How stupid. How naive. How fool hardy. It's very simple actually. We can learn by the past and what others and ourselves have done. The Word is for us to glean courage and wisdom and yet we make the same mistakes. Don't we teach our children about our mistakes? Don't we try to dissuade our kids from the same pitfalls we fell for? Our heavenly Father does the same. Rather than looking at his book as a do's and don't's we ought to look at it as a warning to avoid calamity from our own silly behavior. Ever looked at things that way?
Eph 4:20 But ye did not so learn Christ;
Eph 4:21 if so be that ye heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
Eph 4:22 that ye put away, as concerning your former manner of life, the old man, that waxeth corrupt after the lusts of deceit;
Eph 4:23 and that ye be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Eph 4:24 and put on the new man, that after God hath been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Eph 4:25 Wherefore, putting away falsehood, speak ye truth each one with his neighbor: for we are members one of another.
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Eph 4:27 neither give place to the devil.
Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
Eph 4:32 and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you Lord for your Word. Thank you for this life. Teach us the way we ought to walk and help us see the wonderment of all your creation. Let your creation speak to us and remind us of nyour love for us. Bless our leaders that they see your ways and not the enemy's. In Jesus name we pray, amen
