Good morning! How are we faithing? I am an eternal optimist. My friend is a cynic. We have conversations that rival the best debates ever seen but because of the love and respect for each other we honor each other by giving an ear and considering the others view. As we watch events unfold in our land we believers in Jesus must don our reasoning caps all the while comparing scripture with everything taking place in order to make sense of things. Are we always successful? Not always. Mostly because we are not God so we don't know all the nuances and background tidbits that make up events but we are privy to the Word of God so we can maintain our behavior. My friend makes me think and consider things that are simply unknown to me and I hope he does the same. We as a nation and we as a people will perish if we do not put God first and our own issues second. No way are we to survive only being concerned with ourselves. Leaders appear to be inciting things in our society and we fall for their ploys. History is repeating. I believe we must trust but verify. I believe what the Bible says. I believe the Holy Spirit is trying to tell us things but we get wrapped up in self instead of God. It's like this; good works are the result of a loving saved heart and not a way to get to a loving saved heart. Seek God first and the rest falls in line. What say you? Are you saved?
Jer 5:22-31
Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that clears the blurred line of culture. Thank you for your Spirit that prompts us to follow your Word. Lord, grant us vision and wisdom to see through things so we know how to prepare and how to act. Grant us wisdom to be aware of the enemies ploys. Protect those in harms way and bless those seeking your face. Protect the innocent and cause the corrupt to find you and find justice. Bless our bodies that healing takes place in Jesus name we ask these things, amen
