Good morning! How are we faithing? Realizing that without Jesus our lives are basically nothing we then can pursue life with a newness of thought and deed. We then can look at things as a participant in God's creation and not the center of it. Oh I know we search for things that make us happy but things wont make you happy. Anytime you can be brought low at the snap of a finger because your "stuff" goes away, you're placing your faith in the wrong place. This faith in Jesus and understanding that he loved us regardless of sin makes for a happiness that can't be explained. Not that happiness that comes on your honeymoon or your first wheelie but the happiness that transcends life itself. The Word talks of a peace that passes all understanding and that peace only comes when you cement your relationship with Christ. When you look at all the things that make you unhappy or tick you off or spoil your plans for the day and yet you laugh at some, cry at some and shrug and press on all the while praying to Jesus for his will be done, then you are approaching true happiness. Satisfying flesh is easy but is also a stumbling block because our flesh is selfish. Try this; ask God to reveal all things necessary for you to live according to what he has planned for you. Pray before your feet hit the floor that he grants you wisdom for the day. Put on his armor that you can weed through all the things the enemy throws at you all the while having compassion for all you meet, even if they need a good slap. Put on the love of a messiah that loves you. Be wise. Be in the Word every day. Thank God for everything you see and rebuke satan and his minion in the name of Jesus.
2Ti 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Act 20:22-24
And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for my life. Use my life for whatever you seee fit. Lord forgive our sins for they are many. We put on your armor so we can do your work and be examples of a servant of the Holy God, the one and only real God of the universe. Grant us wisdom in all situations and hold our tongue and loose it as appropriate. We love you Lord. We lift those dealing with physical ailments. We lift your people being killed in the mid east. Your grace on us all Lord, in Jesus name we pray, amen
