daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? Another weekend gone, now off to another work week! We as a society base everything around our work week. Our money, our pleasure and our faith are all dictated by the work week. What do I mean? Some work for the weekend while some would rather work than have a weekend. Church is on the weekend along with parties. As a result of this it is hard for people of this day and age to understand anything that doesn't require work first. So when someone brings up grace, many people simple don't understand how grace works or they can't accept the whole concept of grace. I understand completely both sides because I am a workaholic,(not like when I was young mind you), but I understand grace by the idea of gift giving. When I give someone something I don't want anything in return and usually don't even want it recognized. Proper edicate is to thank the giver but even that is not necessary when the giver simply wants to give. If we give expecting accolades, recognition or it being noted far and wide, we have our reward. In fact gift giving for reward isn't gift giving but a tit for tat mentality. Sure we love to see the look on peoples face but we must be careful we don't give for other reasons. Anyways, Jesus is offering a gift of pardon and all you have to do is accept it, thank him and dust off your Bible and use it as a life guide and not a condemning book of rules. Jesus paid for all you have done so now you can press on with life knowing you have that secure.

Rom 4:3-7
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.  But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.  Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,  Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your gift of pardon. Thank you for the love you have for us that you would offer that gift. I accept that gift and ask for forgiveness of all I have done. Help me with wisdom and courage to read and understand your Word so I can help the lost, live as holy as possible and be a reflection of you.  If you prayed that, welcome to eternity with God! Now reach out to a Bible preaching church and grow in this newness in Christ Jesus! The angels are singing in heaven for a new soul saved! In Jesus name, amen
