Good morning! How are we faithing? People tend to make simple things hard and complain when hard things are not simple. We have a tendency to not accept things that are simple but believe difficult things are. Why do you suppose that is? It's like this salvation we enjoy. It's free. It's called grace. Jesus paid in full for your sins and you cannot enhance or detract from it. Getting saved does not make you perfect rather it is an act of recognition that you are not perfect and need to be saved. I hear people tell me they ain't good enough to be saved and yet those same people criticize a believer because they did something bad. What? You can't have it both ways. It's like trying to fix your car before you take it to the shop to be fixed. Where do we come up with these ideas that if we do this or that we will or wont go to heaven? It's not in the Bible at all so where do these ideas originate? In ourselves is where. Cultural biases, deep thinkers and age old sayings deter the whole salvation message. It's quite simple really. First, don't compare yourself with anyone else. Second, recognize you screw up therefore you are not perfect. Third realize repentance is necessary and as we know repentance is a change of mind that leads to behavioral changes but, you cannot do that alone. Forth, this is where you call on Jesus for your redemption because the Bible says no one can come to the father but by the son therefore, you'll never be good enough to enter heaven on your own, were that possible, redemption would not be necessary. So now we see that redemption has come and you have not earned it, deserve it but it comes out of love God has for us so why have you not accepted the pardon? We all love gifts so what are you waiting on? Today is the day of salvation. Are you saved?
Joh 10:7-11
Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for
the sheep.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for saving a wretch like me. Thank you for your gift of pardon. Come into my heart to dwell. I know I am not perfect. Help me improve. Pour your Holy Spirit all over me today. Thank you in Jesus name, amen
