daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? Man, what a weird week in the news. Now I read of tornadoes with tigers and lions on the loose in Oklahoma while another train derailment in one of the Dakotas resulting in a huge fire. Do weird things not surprise you anymore? I can remember watching things in my youth and being amazed but now I see things and am simply not surprised. Why do you suppose that is? Seen it before? Tornadoes, yes, lions and tigers, yes but never together. Are events ratcheting up or are we just more aware? I know the earthquakes are increasing, volcano eruptions are increasing. Heck man, Australia had two cyclones hit their land simultaneously which has never before happened. I don't know about you but these things simply require one to take notice. Not a gloom and doom guy at all but I do question things and compare to the Word things that go on. I look into historical data. I read constantly simply to learn and hopefully not repeat past errors of mine and others. Prophecy warns of particular things and paints with a wide brush other things to take place and I am seeing some prophetic things and some things that may just be day to day happenings. Which is which is why we get in the Word for deciphering. Don't dismiss things like the people of Sodom and Gomorrah did, they are extinct now. Be more like the Ninivites who repented when they saw things and were told things to come. History repeats and the proof is the Jewish nation. Over and over they were downtrodden, sought God, found God, were rescued, enjoyed freedom and plenty only to revert back to forgetting God when they got comfortable then turn to  indulgences that cause them to fall again. We are doing the same in this country and I suspect the result will follow suit. The time is now. You are not promised any time. Are you saved? Don't put it off anymore because you may meet with an unfortunate lion or tiger accident on your way to work...

2Pe 3:9-14
  The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,  Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Heavenly Father,

   Thank you for your grace that saves us. We ask for wisdom to determine what is day to day stuff and what we ought to take notice of. We pray for the incarcerated. Grant them forgiveness and your peace. We pray for widows and orphans. Grant them rest and a new outlook into your grace and majesty. Help us see where we ought to step in and help . Bless our days and our hands that work. Keep us safe from the wiles of the enemy. We praise and honor you and it is in your sons name Jesus we pray, amen
