Good morning! How are we faithing? What are our expectations of others? How do those expectation tint your view of someone? I have seen it in church where people expect better behavior from the Pastors kids. How dumb. They are kids like all the other kids. They have to learn just like we did, by making mistakes. We expect a certain behavior from our boss, our co-workers and when they fail our expectations we get offended. People will act and react with the things they are equipped with and not what you're equipped with. Pay attention to the kids you meet and really listen and watch. Don't expect anything just observe and you will see the true person, then do the same for adults. It is an amazing exercise and you will discover a better understanding of the people in your life.
Mat 18:1-6
At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.
But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for wisdom in your Word. Thank you for revealing truth to us. Please forgive our sins and help us be aware of your Spirit. Help us see people for who they are and not for what we expect. In Jesus name, amen
