daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? The simplest things can cause us to sail off course. We are prone to let the silliest things get to us and you know what? It indeed is simple silly things that stick in our craw. I have had a remark made in my direction that bugs me all day and when I talk to that person later it wasn't at all what I perceived. Our enemy is unscrupulous, not a gentleman at all and totally willing to stir junk up. We slip up. Others slip up. Those things will be used against us, you can count on it. The Word tells us to take all thoughts captive and man, we gotta be on our toes or we can fall into offense over nothing and ruin an otherwise good day.

2Co 10:3-6
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)   Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;  And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Pause today when you feel offense coming on. Lift up those in prayer those you perceive as offending. Grab errant thoughts and do not chew on them. Many a thought steers us where we don't really want to go.

Heavenly Father,
Keep our minds safe from the enemy. Help us be quickened to enemy action. Keep our eyes wide open to errant thought that harm us. We want to see truth today. We want to see you today. We praise your holy name Lord and it is in the name of Jesus we ask these things, amen
