Good morning! How are we faithing? Think on this a minute;
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Wow. We can cut, we can build. We can slay someone or encourage them. Our tongues can show our foolishness and our wisdom. We all have met boobs who show how dumb or undisciplined by how and what they speak. We all have said things we wish we could take back. So many times I hear people speak things on themselves! "I never get ahead", "I always get whatever is going around" is heard quite regularly. We need to think before we speak and not fall into these sayings and flippant comments. We as children of God ought to be speaking good things and praises. We should be confident in our minds and speech. Wisdom;
Jas 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Jas 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Pro 16:21 The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
Pro 16:22 Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.
Pro 16:23 The heart of the wise teacheth his mouth, and addeth learning to his lips.
Pro 16:24 Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Pay attention to what you say. Are we speaking good report or tearing down? That person may be a fool but we ought not say it, when he speaks, everyone already knows....
Heavenly Father,
Help us bless with our words and not tear down. Help us to pause before we speak and resist the devil from putting words in our mouths. Lord, help us control our ire so we don't fall into verbal vomit. In Jesus name, amen
