Good morning! How are we faithing? We see it all the time. Someone famous or wealthy or whatever gets treated better than the rest of us. It's obvious when people do this that it's for their gain. I have a friend who owns a business and he treats everyone that patronizes his establishment with the same amount of respect. We all have seen people of higher positions expect to be treated better. This is a problem because Jesus teaches we are not to be respecter of persons. Why you ask? Because position, wealth, fame are all fleeting and of no consequence. The heart is what matter and God sees the heart and judges accordingly. Again, we know a bit of peoples heart by their fruit and are we able to judge them? I think not so treat people with compassion because it's right to do so, not for gain. Oh man there are many ways this goes when studied so do your own homework and learn our saviors heart...
Jas 2:1 My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory, with respect of persons.
Jas 2:2 For if there shall come into your assembly a man having a golden ring, in fine apparel; and there shall come in also a poor man in mean attire:
Jas 2:3 And you have respect to him that is clothed with the fine apparel and shall say to him: Sit thou here well: but say to the poor man: Stand thou there, or: Sit under my footstool:
Jas 2:4 Do you not judge within yourselves, and are become judges of unjust thoughts?
Deu 16:19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that teaches grace and compassion. Lord help us treat others the same regardless. Forgive our sins Lord. We try and fail and are ashamed. Lift us up and protect us from the enemy and his minion. In Jesus name, amen
