daily prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? I read Ezekiel 23 for my own study and was quite taken by the parallels of then and the things taking place today. I often wonder what Americas role is in end time prophecies but that's a whole other big subject.
Reading the prophets of old we learn many things about human behavior. Why in the world do we lust after so many things besides God? Why are we quicker to believe a bad report than a good one or is it because we derive pleasure from others failings? This ought not be! Wouldn't it be better if we all truly cheered for other peoples success?  It has always baffled me when I read about the Israelites having just crossed the Red sea, saw the salvation of God and built golden calves at the foot of Mt. Sinai. What were they thinking?! It came from their own lusts and wickedness and people, it's still all around us. I have never in my 60 years ever seen such hatred all around, mainly the media. The sides don't matter because it's everywhere. Is Satan and his minion winning or gaining ground? He was already defeated  on the cross but his tail is still whipping. To read the old prophets and watch happenings today while remembering when Solomon said,"there is nothing new under the sun", one must realize history repeats over and over. Different characters, different devices but same behavior. Sigh, today is the day of your salvation because if history really does repeat, you have no guarantee of another heart beat. Not to frighten but stating fact. Do some thinking before you can't.

Heb 3:7  Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, "Today if you will hear His voice,
Heb 3:8  do not harden your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness,
Heb 3:9  when your fathers tempted Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.
Heb 3:10  Therefore I was grieved with that generation and said, They always err in their heart, and they have not known My ways.
Heb 3:11  So I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter into My rest."
Heb 3:12  Take heed, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13  But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Heb 3:14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end,

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for salvation. Thank you for your Word. Thank you for your wisdom. Forgive us Lord when we miss the mark. We praise and honor you and seek your face . In Jesus name, amen
