 Good morning! How are we faithing? Lets talk about some serious things..

John 3:36
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him."
NAS

Wrath of God. What does that mean? Are we to be perfect or we go to hell? Not at all. Remember, salvation is a gift from God and we are saved by grace. Obeying God and seeking to follow in Jesus footsteps, that's what we endeavour to do. The Holy Spirit will let us know what to do by our conscience and the Word. He also will use fellow Christians who may have been where we are and experienced the same thing. Remember;

John 3:18
"He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
NAS

Ephesians 2:1-10
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
NAS

As we all walk through this life we encounter diverse circumstances that are pleasant and painful. We have the grace of God on our side and we know our prayers are heard. The prayers of the unsaved are not heard except for the repentance prayer. This isn't mean or cruel, this is just. God has given us a choice. We make that choice and live with the results of that decision. Being just and allowing us to either believe or not comes with two types of judgement. Believers are judged by the blood of Jesus, unbelievers are judged on their own merit. This Word that we hold is of God and tells us all these things. The argument that man made it therefore it's fallible is so stupid an argument. Why would man make it so cruel sometimes and yet so forgiving and easy the next? Man wouldn't. Look at the cults and see that they all have to prove their worth to enter paradise. See them all being so wrapped up in ritual and performance yet they all seem to end up simply a mess. I don't claim to understand it all and probably never will but I do know what God has done and how he has transformed my life from one of self indulgence to one of truly living for principles that stand and have stood the test of time. How about you? God loves you and will do the same. We must but yield to him and be honest with ourselves. The choice is ours.

Heavenly Father,
Reveal your Word to us. We ask the Holy Spirit come and open our minds to your truths. Lord let us see your love at work and help us know without a doubt that your ways are true. Lord we lift our churches up that they may overcome satan and his henchmen. Lord let the church be a place we can go and find you. Lord we ask you soften our hearts and heal our wounds that we may fill the void with your love and grace. Heal old wounds that make us bitter or sad. Lord thank you for your son and what he has done for us. Guide us today so we find the rest and happiness in your arms, in Jesus name, Amen
