         Good morning! How are we faithing? Who do you trust? You parents? Your boss? The government? Your church? The news? Most likely a little of all of those but the only source that can be trusted completely is the Word of God. Jesus taught us what we needed to do and to go outside of his Word would be, well, wrong. The principles laid out in the Word do apply to us today. Look around. See the things happening. Research many sources and one will find lies, deception abounding. Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun therefore we ought to look at history no? Look here;

Hos 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.

Think about that. Lack of knowledge causes destruction. Why? Because if one doesn't know about the past one will repeat it. Being a history buff I read all the time of events and what lead to those events, then look at what is happening today and conclude, "this is a repeat". Something interesting in the Word;

Luk 17:26-30  And as it was in the days of Noah, so it also shall be in the days of the Son of Man. They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came and destroyed them all.   So also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;  but the day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed them all.   Even so it shall be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

So we read those passages and ask the question, "what was happening in Noah's time? Lot's time? Go read Genesis again.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for your Word that is always the truth. Thank you for the wisdom we get from you. Help us not repeat things that are against you and help us be a light to the world in all the darkness we face. We praise you Lord, in Jesus name, amen
