       Good evening! How are we faithing? Wicked headache this morning so we'll talk tonight. Man was it noisy last night! Some of the thunder shook the house!

     I was watching a Pastor/scholar teach about the giants of the old testament and the gene messing  that went on. When the flood happened these things were happening and mankind was being corrupted by satan. Also the murders, the debauchery, the outright evil that was happening before the flood parallels today. It was also interesting the books that were referenced like Jasher, Enoch, Judith etc. that later were considered not cannon at the council of Trent in 1611 but that is another subject. Anyways, when comparing the written down events of historic value at a minimum, we find way more about specific details the Bible does not explain. The details I have read may not have anything to do with Messiah or the Gospel but for a detail oriented person like me, it's fascinating. Genesis really exposes mankind and our propensity to sin and nothing has changed since then. Cain killed Abel. David committed adultery and had a man killed. Solomon had 300 wives and concubines. Jonah ran from God. Sodom and Gomorrah. Same sins as today. So what are we to do? Repent. We have to repent whenever we sin. Repent means a change of mind not just an apology. As we were born for a time as this and we are redeemed, we have to repent from the world. We have to have zeal to tell of our redemption to the lost. Study and look deeper into this salvation and our God. That was the point I was making telling of that Teacher I enjoyed today.

Our time;

Mar 13:5-13  And Jesus answering them began to say, Beware that no one deceive you. For many shall come in My name, saying, I AM, and shall deceive many.  And when you shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled. For it must happen, but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there shall be earthquakes in different places, and there shall be famines and troubles. These things are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves. For they shall deliver you up to sanhedrins, and in the synagogues you shall be beaten. And you shall be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them.  And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. But whenever they lead you away and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what you should speak or think. But speak whatever shall be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speaks, but the Holy Spirit.  And a brother will betray a brother to death, and a father his son. And children will rise up against their parents and will cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name's sake, but he enduring to the end, that one will be kept safe.

we must repent,

Luk_13:3  I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Act_2:38  Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

When the churches mentioned in Revelation the main point made was to repent.

Heavenly Father,     Forgive us Lord. We repent of our sins. Grant us courage to stand in the time we live in. Open our eyes to what you have for us to do for your glory. Heal our minds from all the inputs from the world. Help us recognize mans folly. In Jesus name, amen
