    Good morning! How are we faithing? We hear many sayings or colloquialisms that are just not correct. We need to be aware of them and not repeat them. We hear them at funerals. We hear them at the grocery store. We even hear them from clergy. The only way you and I are going to know what is truth and what is just a saying is to know the Word of God ourselves. Here's one I hear, "the whole world are God's children". On one hand I do understand how that could be said, God is the creator, but is it correct?  Look here first;

2Co 5:18-19  And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;  whereas God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and putting the word of reconciliation in us.

Ok, God is reconciling us through Jesus Christ but don't forget;

Joh 3:2-3  He came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles which you do unless God is with him.  Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

So if one is not born again, are they a child of God? (Read John 3 and study this more) And how do we know if we are born again?

1Jn 2:3-6  And by this we know that we have known Him, if we keep His commandments.  He who says, I have known Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  But whoever keeps His Word, truly in this one the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in Him.  He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk even as He walked.

We do the things that are upright, merciful, loving not to earn that salvation that makes us sons and daughters of God but because we are sons and daughters of God. So if we see others doing the opposite of Gods mercy, grace, love, are they sons and daughters of God? I think not....yet, that's where we come in...

Heavenly Father, Help us be aware of your mercy and love even on vile people we meet. Help us be brave and strong in your love so we can share it and be a vessel for you to call people to your salvation. We praise you Lord, in Jesus name, amen
