    Good morning! How are we faithing? Holiness is thrown around like a noun rather than a verb. Holiness is action and achieving it is difficult. Holiness does not mean pious like monks but seeking God in everything and acting accordingly. Can we achieve holiness completely? Probably but I haven't yet. Paul here;

1Pe 1:13-19  Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.  As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,   but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,  since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”   And if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one's deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile,   knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,   but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.

The teaching or the admonishment here is to refuse to give in to our own lusts. Seek God's will. Pay attention to God's ways and not our own. Hard but doable obviously or we wouldn't be told to strive for holiness. Like I said, I haven't yet but with forgiveness available I will keep pressing into holy living and hopefully I at least get better every day...how about you?

Heavenly Father, Forgive us when we goof up. Lord we want to see truth and holiness daily. We lift those hurting today. Sow up and heal! We praise you Lord, in your mighty sons name, amen
