Good morning! How are we faithing? Jeremiah is an interesting read to say the least. Many of the events and musings can be related to today. I find it so amazing that the Word is relevant in the past present and future. Jeremiah is speaking to the Jews and their folly. They keep sinning over and over against God. They forget all of God's righteousness and fall back into sin like a dog returning to his vomit. Do we do this? Have we backslid in areas we know better? Of course we have. Mankind is silly when it comes to that. Rinse repeat. How dumb...

Jer 4:14-18  O Jerusalem, cleanse your heart from evil so that you may be saved. How long shall your vain thoughts lodge within you?  For a voice declares from Dan, and proclaims affliction from mount Ephraim.  Tell it to the nations: Behold! proclaim against Jerusalem! Besiegers are going to come from a distant land; and they will set their voice against the cities of Judah.   Like watchmen of a field, they are against her all around; because she rebelled against Me, says Jehovah.   Your way and your doings have brought these things on you; this is your evil, because it is bitter, because it reaches to your heart.

Why oh why do we rinse and repeat? Many reasons I suppose but there is no excuse.

Jer 3:25  We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us; for we have sinned against Jehovah our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even to this day, and have not obeyed the voice of Jehovah our God.

Return so Jehovah. Forget what the world dishes out as good because in these last times, good becomes evil and evil becomes good. That is a recipe to disaster and the Word warns us of that too.

Jer 4:1-4  If you will return, O Israel, says Jehovah, return to Me. And if you will put away your abominations out of your sight, then you shall not be moved.  And you shall swear, Jehovah lives, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in Him, and in Him they shall glory.  For so says Jehovah to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and do not sow among thorns.  Circumcise yourselves to Jehovah, and take away the foreskins of your heart, men of Judah and people of Jerusalem; lest My fury come forth like fire, and burn so that none can put it out; because of the evil of your doings.

Make your way to our savior today. Repent, ask for guidance and courage in these times. Life ain't easy but with the Word, it is navigable...

Heavenly Father, forgive us when we step in it over and over. Help us live holy and in your image. Help us see truth in all situations and grant us wisdom to speak or not on your behalf. Lord we love you and honor you. Thank you for your Word, I can't say that enough. In Jesus name, amen
