Daily Prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? We as a people have a tendency to freak out when we are in the midst of trials whether it is physical affliction or mental. These things will happen and have already happened to us. Here's a way to look at the junk we endure. First of all we know God will sustain us, we know know none of it will last forever and if we pause and look beyond the trial we realize that when its done there's a good chance we will be stronger for it. Does it still stink? Well sure it does while it's happening but envision how things will be after. Ever had surgery? If the doctors were successful, were you better off? Point is You get better long term when you endure the short term.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9
we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;
NAS

That's a very huge set of verses even though they are short in length. Train yourself with the Word and prayer to see beyond the immediate and look ahead. Kinda like driving, if you looked at just at the dash and not down the road, what will happen? We also have to look at the dash too and what this means is in order to focus on the road ahead, we learn from the present.

2 Corinthians 2:14
But thanks be to God, who always leads us in His triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.
NAS

Know that Jesus loves you and will see you through. Don't care how bad it is, he will see you through. Through Christ, all things are possible. Remember Gary Patterson inoperable tumors...Cary Johnson, medical...Donnie Conquest is in intensive care, pray for his family and him...Carl and Berta...the troops in the sand box, 120's and up over there...

Heavenly Father,

We come before you today with concerns for our fellow brothers and sisters. We ask a healing touch on them. We ask your will be done and the lesson evident to us. We lift the troops that you keep them safe and cool. Help them cope with the trials they face. Help them show mercy when they can. We lay our burdens at your feet as we know you are great enough to handle them. Teach us to look beyond the circumstances and see down the road. Thank you for your wisdom, in Jesus name, Amen
