Daily Prayer

Good morning! Beautiful day to be a child of God. We are living under grace which means we are not "under" it like alot of religions that must perform to get in heaven, we are covered with grace so that God doesn't see our sin because he see's his son's sacrifice for us! We are able to come boldly to the throne of God and ask anything. We can rest in the Word of God that we are indeed headed to heaven and in God's presence for eternity! Man o man, that is so huge that sometimes we have moments of doubt when we fail. "How can he love me, look what I've done" we say. You can't goof up enough that he would turn his back on you.

Romans 3:21-26
But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God , and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
NIV

Can we sin freely now? No, we are held to a higher standard as believers. We must follow Jesus' teachings. When we fail, and we do, we have the confidence that our salvation is secure. We are able to go to Jesus in prayer and talk to him. We know we are forgiven. So I can sin saturday night and confess on sunday and go on? Technically I suppose so but as a saved christian why would you want to put yourself out there and appear as the world does? Why would you want to displease your savior? If you have problems getting away from that lifestyle, on your knees is a place to start. Forgiveness and redemption is a conversation away.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your salvation. Thank you for the wisdom in your Word. Help us live and be examples of the people you want us to be. Teach us to be in tune with the needs of others. Help us stand up and make the right decisions every day. Teach us to pray. Teach us to have a heart for the needy. Thank you for all you do, in Jesus name,Amen
