Daily Prayer

Good morning! End of another week and we are still here. How are things in your life? Do you know where you stand physically and spiritually? It's interesting to find something in the Word that enlightens you like,

Romans 8:9-11
You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.
NIV

Our bodies are dead due to sin, original sin and our own, but our spirit lives forever due to our belief in messiah, Jesus the Christ. God also in the end will resurrect our bodies as he did Jesus. What form and function it will take I don't know but nevertheless it will be raised from it's dead state. Flesh, mortal bodies are corruptible. God will raise it uncorruptible. Pretty cool!

1 John 2:1-2
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
NIV

This is why we are saved and not under condemnation any more. This is why we have Jesus living in us. God loved you so much he sent his son to take the hit for you! The sin is gone, wiped clean. This current body is still sinfull in nature and does cause us grief but rest knowing that when the trumpet sounds and Jesus returns in all his splendor we will be raised with him. Keep praying and reading and know in your heart of hearts that you are loved by God almighty! Man! Me, you, anyone who calls on his name and believes is saved.Enough for today, have a good holiday!

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for saving us and showing yourself in your Word. Grant us wisdom and open the scriptures up to us. Help us understand and hear you speak. Keep us safe this holiday weekend. Help us show your love to others. Be with the people on this list who are hurting, comfort them. Be with our kids and keep them safe. We praise and worship you in Jesus name, Amen!
