Good morning! I hope you had a touch from God this weekend! I sure did! Using the nouns I and me is something that I try not to use,( oops, there it is) because this isn't about me. This is about God. This is about the grace of Jesus and his sacrifice. This is meant to encourage and to help you in your daily walk through this life. Hopefully this teaches some sound biblical principles to live by. We all face triumphs and tragedies, happiness and sadness, plus we have the things of satan bombarding us and sometimes resistance SEEMS futile. But remember,
2 Thessalonians 1:3
We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing.
NIV
Look about at people and their reaction to you as you grow in the Lord. As you become bold and worry less about what people think of you and more of seeing God in you. Not speaking of screaming from the mountain tops about Jesus but them watching how you live, your demeanor and how you live by what you believe.
2 Peter 1:5-9
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
NIV
Wow! Read that a few times and reflect. As we learn and trust God more, these things will take place. Listen to that still small voice that says, " no no, don't do it!" Don't let our lusts, wants and needs lead to sin! Listen to that statement. A lust, want or desire that is sinful is not of God, it's of you. OOf! Ya, me too but don't get depressed, recognise when that happens, pray quickly and walk away! If you are having trouble walking away, run! Or maybe call a Godly person to talk you down as it were. We don't have to do it alone and whatever you are facing, you ain't the first!
Heavenly Father,
Help us to walk the walk. Help us remember who we are and who you are! Thank you for your forgiveness that we can know you care for us. Help us see you in all we do. We lift each other up and give our trials to you. Help us be strong when we face temptation. Bring your word to mind! Keep the kids safe and help them know you are beside them. in Jesus Heavenly name, Amen!
