Good morning! Middle of the week and we're still here! Sometimes we wonder with world events when it will all come crashing down. But be of good cheer because Jesus is your savior and we know where we're headed! If you don't, we need to talk...
1 John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
NIV
Does this say we are perfect when we have God? No way man! Darkness surrounds us and sometimes we fall into the shadows. Be of good cheer cause we can call on our savior to shine on us and remove the shadow. Purposely staggering into the dark can be dangerous and we need to constantly call on the name of Jesus to help us seek the light and not be snared or enticed by the dark. The walk we choose has consequences that are eternal so choosing wisely is paramount. Read the Word, pray, seek Godly advise from Godly people who trust the Lord. Everyone fails from time to time so don't be to harsh on others even when they claim to be following God. Enticements of this world can be so lovely to look at yet can explode ounce it gets a hold of us. And we are all weak.
1 John 2:1-2
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense-Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
NIV
Cool! When you do stumble, you can pray and repent once you realize and Jesus forgives. We all sin. We have an advocate and a savior we can apologize to. And true repentance tried not to repeat but if we do, humble yourself before God and try again. Remember each other so that we have the strength and character to see the truth and to forgive others and to ask for forgiveness.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your blessing on us and help us see you in all we do. Teach us to forgive as we are forgiven. Show us the way to peace and understanding of your Word. We lift each other as well as our leaders to you. Help us all make sound Godly choices. Thank you ahead of time for your blessings. Keep the people on the road safe. in Jesus name, Amen
