Good morning! Man what an interesting weekend! How was yours? Did you learn anything? It is amazing when you pay attention what you can learn from situations that present themselves. God has a way of allowing and causing things to take place in our lives that teach us principles to live by. I had the pleasure of playing with my 1 and a half year old nephew yesterday. Watching him mimic me was interesting. Seeing him play and learn was a terrific way to spend time. He has total trust in his uncle and shows total love towards him. I do get it because I had an uncle that I felt the same about. It becomes very important how the nephew views unk and unk has the responsibility to show him correctly life principles. This nephew must see Godly behavior.
1 Peter 5:2-3
Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
NIV
In order for us to do this we must seek out God in his Word and ask the Holy Spirit to be with us. We cannot do this on our own. Being examples to those around us takes diligence and commitment. Self falls by the wayside. It is tough sometimes and you may want to run and hide, but be of good cheer because we have a savior cares and loves us!
Psalms 25:4-5
Show me your ways, O LORD,teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
NIV
As you start this work week, look to Jesus for your strength. Pray without ceasing. Seek the wisdom that is higher than this earth. Pray when you want to attack and defend when you have to but do it with love and kindness and mercy. They may be struggling too.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your loving kindness and grace. Teach us to be examples of your love. Show us the way to behave so people see you in us. Thank you for kids that show us simple uncluttered love. Guide our paths this week that we know your ways and keep your principles in the forefront! in Jesus name, Amen
