Daily Prayer

Good morning!! How are we faithing this fine day? Let me pose some questions and then we will explore a little. Do you have trouble searching, seeking and asking questions about this faith? Are you afraid to question propositional truths about God because you might find out all this is wrong? Well be of good cheer and question away. Be wise and search sources that are reliable, not theories based on selfish desires. Let me assure you when you question, Jesus will meet you at the search site. Truths are forever standing. If you watch around you see truths become evident even when lying to cover or hide has taken place. God's Word is truth. Dogma is based on truth but often becomes distorted by it's very nature, man made. When you were led to God, God entered your heart and we were babies in Christ. Now as we mature we need to question and learn more about our savior. We mature as it were. Be aware of satans schemes too! Temptation is used by satan to distract and to move our focus from God to our own lusts, whatever they may be.

Colossians 3:5-11
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
NIV

Notice that last line. We are all in Christ who saves us. Once we are in Christ, all the worldly differences we have disappear. Battling over dogmatic differences or going to war with someone over propositional ideas is futile and serves only satan. Ask questions for your spiritual growth, not for argumentative reasons because battle of words is self serving and of no consequence. Seek the truth from Gods Word.

2 Corinthians 2:9-11
But whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ, in order that no advantage be taken of us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.
NAS

Ah yes, the great tempter. Satan will put things in your path to take your focus off Jesus. He schemes are old as mankind because they work. Whatever it may be, temptative schemes destroy us if we are not aware of them. Be wise and know your weakness and when it comes at you, skirt up and pray. Let the temptation go right on by. Pray, pray, pray as simple as "Lord help".

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your saving grace and kindness. Thank you for showing us the truth with your Word and your Holy Spirit. Help us recognise your voice when we are tempted. Help us not argue about things that don't lift your holy name. Teach us to be wise with your wisdom. Lord we ask you be with us and let us know you are right there all the time. Lord we praise you and lift our thoughts to you. Show us you. Let us be beacons for you. Grant us the wisdom to shut up when we should and put your Word in our minds all the time. Lord we lift our kids to you, keep them safe and help them see you in us. in Jesus name, Amen
