Daily Prayer

Good morning! How are we faithing? I had one written and poof! Disappeared! Some day I might get good at this. God has come to save you. God wants you to know of his love and character. We are required but to accept the gift of salvation that is offered to us. God's grace is sufficient. You can't do enough good things to get into heaven. If that were true, the law of Moses would have been sufficient and all this Jesus stuff would be unnecessary. So check this out,

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
NIV

Ok, now how?

Galatians 3:13-14
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
NIV

How did God do this?

Galatians 4:3-7
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
NIV

Wow! An heir. How do I talk to God?

1 Timothy 2:4-7
For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men-the testimony given in its proper time.
NIV

So by accepting Jesus as savior, believing he died for me, carried MY sin, I can speak to God? Bingo!

Ephesians 2:8-10
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
NIV

This is the truth. Jesus is God. Jesus died for your sins. Belief in him is all that is needed. YOU can't give enough. You can't be good enough. In the end good stuff hopefully outweighing bad stuff doesn't get your through thee pearly gates. Belief in the grace of God that his son is the only way...that's the ticket.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your love for us that you gave your son. Teach us to be receptive to your Word. Help us see the truth. Lord guide us and keep us in your arms. We believe and accept your gift of salvation. Show us your grace and peace. We ask in Jesus name, amen
