daily prayer

      Good morning! How are we faithing? It makes more sense to prepare for things than to complain about them. It makes more sense to find out all you can about something you are concerned over than to whine. Sure some things happen and we say "bummer" and a season, albeit a short one, of sadness or questioning takes place but  cursing God because you don't like something just doesn't make sense. Do we see very far into the future? Do we know what may come? Sure some things are self evident as far as cause and effect goes but can we really see with confidence and surety what is in store for our lives? Of course not and if you expect to be able to do that, prepare yourself for many let downs. We could speak logically and dogmatically about things that happen in our lives but sometimes it just doesn't matter because we are  hurt and or sad over an event or situation. This is where our faith and love for God comes into play. If we think God is an ogre we will have difficulty dealing with life. God made us with free will and believe me when I say that choices you and I make have far reaching effects. My Great Great Great Grandparents came here from the old country and had they not, I would be Irish or not even exist. Those same people built and trained others to build what we see now. Ok, lets go way back to Adam and Eve. Because of their choices, sin and evil came to dwell on this planet and we feel the effects so don't think for a minute your choices don't matter. How we handle things has a direct effect on our kids and grand kids and so on. Before you jump off the deep end, pause and seek the best path and I pray your seek God in that decision first.

Rom 8:28-29
  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.   For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Don't get the wrong idea that the word "predestinate" means God doles out all these hurts over and over just to trip us up or that you really don't have free will, it means that Godly purpose was designed from the beginning. Again like we said, it may not have a thing to do with you, you are just effected

Heavenly Father,

  Grant us the wisdom and courage to act holy and wisely so we make the right choices and we do not cause anyone harm or to stumble. Help us understand what you want us to do. Open the Word to us so we see truth and are not influenced by the lies of the enemy. We rebuke in Jesus name any part of the enemies ploys..We lift those who need a touch from you. Lay your heart on ours, in Jesus name, amen.
