Good morning! How are we faithing this fine fall day? I am going through some things and while I am not complaining I search for answers because these things are new to me. Having lost a son and while knowing he is not suffering anymore, I still deal with this barrage of emotional turmoil. Drained as it were. Tired and want to run away. Grab the dogs, my bride, a guitar, a camper, no phones just God's nature and relief from the world. Not realistic I know but after watching TV shows about men living off the grid, I wonder what prompted their decision to live in that manner? Have they endured so much they just said," screw this, I'm outta here!"? Did they lose it and withdraw inside? Was that a sane conscience choice or one made out of anguish? We believers must be careful to make wise choices based on Biblical principals and not raw emotion because one who operates on raw emotion will make unwise choices and will be susceptible to the enemy and his minion. Don't think so? Watch the news. Think for a second why someone would do some of the things we see. What would prompt such behavior? Oh there are many many reasons but do you or I make like choices just not criminal or rather, not caught? I don't have all the answers and I suppose I will search my entire life on this big blue orb but I do know that my savior Jesus the Christ provides strength for the day, love beyond comprehension and a salvation that reminds me that in the end, I'll find all those answers. You can too if you just believe Messiah knows and will reveal as much as we can take in the time we can receive it. Faith my friends is what we live in because some things are what they are and we can either wallow in self pity or pull up our pants and trust God has all this....
Rom 10:14-17
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Gal 2:16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
