Good morning! How are we faithing? It is interesting that some want the assurance or a pass to heaven but don't want or don't believe the principles Jesus laid out. Jesus referred to the law. Jesus constantly showed what kind of loving attitude we ought to have and practice. If we indeed love our savior we need to learn in church, reading the Bible daily and exposing ourselves to Godly men and principles. Living holy and in an appreciative manner requires we follow what we believe. If our beliefs are based on the world or feelings or anything other than what our Lord taught, it's flawed, it will fail and we find we don't live in that love and peace Jesus promised. Our salvation is about faith but our life lived is based on Biblical principles not for gain but out of real love for God. We can't disagree and expect to be fulfilled. That would be like not liking gas prices thus refusing to buy it and wonder why the car stops running.
Joh 14:23-27
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me. These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
