daily prayer

     Good morning! How are we faithing? Think about this;

1Pe 5:8-9
  Be sensible and vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone he may devour; whom firmly resist in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions in the world are being completed in your brotherhood.

I hear all to often,"why me?" and "I try to be good why is this happening?" I know it's hard and I know love seems to be a missing commodity in the world but it starts with you and me. Love for others is up to me and you. It just doesn't matter what others do to you or me because they'll do it anyways. All that matters is we pay attention to what we do. It matters when you pay back because that jerk that dissed you may not know how to love or has such a pitiful view of themselves they act that view out and if we feed that view by responding in kind, we are at fault. The Word deals with this scenario and most of us who have any churching at all know that tit for tat is not an option. I heard a wise man say once that "hurt people hurt people". I've also heard it said that "one can only love as much as they have been loved". Take those statements to heart and as you go through this weekend and stuff crops up, run these statements printed here through your mind...

Heavenly Father,
  Thank you for your love for us that never ever wavers. Teach us to be loving like that. Grant us vision and insight to others so we may heal and not hurt. In Jesus name, amen
