Good morning! How are we faithing? You're struggling. You don't want to wallow or sink into despair but things just keep piling on. You hear advise from many sources and don't know where to turn or who to believe. What you thought ought to be ...isn't any more. Let me tell you something. God is right by us and if you can't seem to see him in all the turmoil, turn to his Word. His Word id sharper than any two edged sword and that means it can cut right through all the junk in our lives. It can beat down the enemy with irrefutable wisdom and truth. If you are saved by the grace of Jesus, believe in his death and resurrection than how could you possibly ignore his Word?
2Ti 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
See that? We are not judged by the Word but the Word shows us all things. If we could just get a hold of the Word as it applies to life we would be able to pass right on through all things we face with such an assurance and perspective. That perspective being;
1Pe 1:24-25
For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
So the things, in perspective, that we endure can be endured with a lightness of heart and a view beyond description of what is happening. Just like in Ecclesiastes
where it tells us of all the things we will encounter we can press on to the prize awaiting us all the while fore warned or rather fore knowing that nothing new under the sun is befallen us.
Ecc 3:1-8
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
Heavenly Father,
We thank you for your Word and ask for wisdom to see what we are seeing, how to react and to allow our emotions to unfold with clarity and perspective. Help us not to get down but just to deal holy and humbly with what comes our way. We adore and praise you Lord, in Jesus name we pray, amen
