daily prayer

    Good morning! How are we faithing? It's real easy to let sayings and traditions to permeate scripture. I have heard Shakespeare quoted as being from the Bible. I've heard old wives tails be stood upon as gospel. Jewish mysticism, paganism, Aunt Molly's wisdom and quips stood on simply because it was taught from an early age. The Bible warns us of many things and it stands to reason if we are being warned then it is a threat to our well being. It stands to reason if we dabble unawares we could be deceived. What could be satans biggest coup? That he and hell don't exist. Think of how people would act. Look at history and see how they did. Look how they are. Teaching moment;

Deu 18:10-11
 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,  Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.

Interesting. It also makes me say this; "whether you or I agree or disagree is of no consequence, Scripture is the only truth. I either believe it all or none of it."  Look at these;

2Pe 2:1-3
  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Explains why these things even exist. "Merchandise of us", wow...

remember Clayton...remember the Smoot family...remember the people in Adair county...

Heavenly Father,
  Help us recognise heresy. Help us have the wisdom to question and seek your face in everything we hear and see. Grant us courage and wisdom. Protect those in the storms path. In Jesus name, amen
