Good morning! How are we faithing? What do you consider before any action? From deciding to have 2 scoops of ice cream or 3, what is it that makes you decide? Do you allow your desires to make the choice or do you let the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of God's Word influence your decision? Take that simple ice cream choice above. Two is ok, three might be ok but what of your waist line? Who is in control? You or your desires? Have you considered more than your wants? Have you thought past your physical yearns? I like banging gears and street drag racing is a lot of fun but what about the possible consequences? I have been fortunate while others have not. I have and I have seen others make choices based solely on desires and then whine why the outcome is or was what it is. This life is so short compared to forever and man, I've made some bad choices and I don't want to repeat them. With age and the Word I now try to look beyond me and see how my choices affect others. Again, the simple ice cream choice, I decide 4 or 5 scoops are ok. My waist line grows. My blood pressure goes up and my chances for heart disease heightens therefore time with the Grand kids to impart wisdom from the Word shortens. Is it worth it? Think beyond yourself. You trust God and take control of your desires rather than let your desires take control of you.
Php 4:13

Isa 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Psa 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Heb 13:6
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom. Help us to make wise choices. Help us to have courage and strength to do what is best. Lord we ask for wisdom to see real truth. Help us recognise when we need to put ourselves under subjection to wise things opposed to simple desires. In Jesus' name, amen
