Good morning! How are we faithing? Continuing with yesterdays discussion, lets look a little deeper. So you profess Jesus as savior, believe the Word but have trouble serving God instead of your desires. We're not talking about serving a church building but serving a master who came bodily and sacrificed his life for you. He set an example for us to put ourselves under submission to God rather than to our own desires. When the Word talks of Jesus being tempted by satan in the wilderness, his human side was tempted but he chose what was best. I never really thought about it years ago when I read those passages but think about it. "Jesus was tempted" so that means, even if for a fraction of a second, his human side thought about it. He stood on the Word of God and made a wise choice and put his flesh under submission to God. Wow! Our savior understands exactly where we are and how our desires tempt us. I've had conversations with guys who give into infidelity all the time and it is obvious that their desires rule and not their head. Think of the consequenses. Think of the ramafications. Think of the kids.
Col 2:9-12
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
So ponder these things this week. Really look at your walk with the savior because after all, it's your walk not mine, I share this because I pray my screw ups and my learning helps you avoid the same mistakes and remember...
Col 2:13-15
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Do you know Jesus as savior? Do you have a relationship with him? If not, times a wasting.

Heavenly Father,
Bring to mind your Word when we face the many choices that come our way. Grant us courage and wisdom to have a mind of God and to stand for principles that are holy. Keep us humble and not to rub any of this in the faces of others but to simply live it because we love you and it's the right thing to do. Thank you for salvation and the love for us that you would defeat death so we can live with you forever. We lift those struggling with life today. Bless them. Show up and show off. In Jesus name, amen
