Good morning! How are we faithing? This is holy week for sure. This is the week we remember our savior and what he did for us. I've lamented before about the secular festivities that go on around Easter and how it just gets under my skin but I've decided simply to ignore all that junk and speak of my savior whenever I can. I will sing praises to him for everything. From green grass to white clouds to the black dirt in the prairie to the red clay down south. I will sing praises for the fish caught and the deer observed. I will sing praises in my tears of sadness and tears of joy. I will sing praises for a Father that loves me enough to allow me to enjoy this world. I will sing praises in work, play and stillness. I will sing praises for books and mostly his Word. It really is quite simple to sing praises in everything. You can't because thus and so has happened? When one realizes that all this around us is but a vapor compared to forever it causes one not to say, "the heck with it all" but rather to realize the simplicity in the complexity and that we indeed are here to sing praises to God. A comfort for me as Solomon said, "nothing new under the sun" is that I just haven't seen whatever is happening before. Not to be harsh but that is exactly why whatever you are going through is harder than it ought to be. You are looking at you. You are fixating on your feelings when God designed those feelings and his Word is what nourishes and heals those feelings down to the marrow. The Psalms are such a comfort for me because they speak of the savior and they convey the same feelings I go through with the added wisdom of God.
Psa 85:8-13
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly. Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land. Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven. Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase. Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word. Thank you for life. Thank you for all things ahead of me. Lord forgive my sins. Bring to mind when I goof up so I can repent immediately. Bring to mind your Word with every thought. Bring your Holy Spirit to console my soul. We praise you Lord, in Jesus name, amen
